Let's Get Ready for Summer with China Glaze

Good Morning Everyone! I have for you today a few polishes from China Glaze's Summer Neon Collection.  In these pictures I put white on my pinkie because I know people love to layer neon's so they show up better..So I'll let you be the judge of how you like it. ^_^ So let's get started.

This is Hang-Ten Toes, it was 3 thin coats with 2 coats over white. Hang-Ten Toes is a beautiful neon pink with purple shimmer.

Love's a Beach is neon pink with pink Shimmer. Love's a Beach is darker than Hang-Ten Toes. This was 3 thin coats also with 2 coats over white.

Splish Splash is a bright blue shimmer (very bright but not neon). This is 2 coats with 2 coats over white.

Under the Boardwalk is a bright raspberry creme (again not neon). This is two coats and two coats over white.

Most of the color's over white polish make them POP or look brighter.. I love you can tell the difference and it's another way to wear the polish.
Hang-Ten Toes-is perfect for my light skin tone. I know I will get a lot of use out of this because I love wearing neon pink during the summer time.
Love's a Beach- is just a tad different from HTT that I feel I can wear these back to back and not feel as if I'm wearing the same color over again! I love both!!!
Splish Splash-is such a wonderful blue I used it on my niece's toes with a stamp of a turtle...very great blue for the water look!
Under the Boardwalk- will be a color I would wear all year. UTB is squishy to even though you might not hear that with a creme polish much...to me it's squishy.

What do you think are you ready for summer?

Nail Art Wednesday......Flamingos

Hey everybody:) Sorry I was MIA last week .......... it is super busy here! But I have for you a super cute summer mani for y'all........Flamingos!!!!! I saw this pin on Pinterest (y'all know I love me some Pinterest)
Little did I know that this was going to be kinda hard to paint. The backround color is blue and the pink I put on top of it was making purple....this really pissed me off, so I had to put down white so no colors would blend( instead of painting once I had to do things twice, everything you see that is pink had to be painted white first). This really took all afternoon.....but I think they are kinda cute:) I started off with China Glaze Towel Boy Toy, I used Zoya Lara for the dark pink of the body, and Zoya Shelby for the wing. So I guess on with the show....here are the pictures:)

Well whatcha think???? I'm really liking the summery feel........... think I'll go jump in the pool with the kids:)
See ya!

Happy Polishing Everyone!

Love,
~Anne~

Jamberry Nail Shields

Hello Ladies today I bring to you from The Berry Nails a few Jamberry Nail Shields...I started off by prepping my nail (alcohol wipe)..Easy no base coat needed for these! I then  heated these up (one at a time) to put it on my nail...moved on to the next nail and so on. After these sat for a minute or two on each nail I figured they had cooled down enough (directions say to let cool before filing) so I filed off the extra. I painted my thumb in O.P.I. DS Signature (2 coats with a base and top coat). I wore these shields for 5 days and they looked the same as the day I put them on! They didn't budge or peel no top coat was needed! I did have to redo my thumb on day 3 because it chipped and I can't wear chipped polish!

I really liked how these stayed on so well! To take these off I heated my nail up a bit and they pealed off...I then wiped my nail down with a alcohol wipe and voila..done!
I looked through the Jamberry web site and they have so many patterns I think you could find a pattern for every occasion!

Nail Art Wednesday.....Ahoy!

Hey everybody:) I'm here today with a nautical inspired mani.... for all my girls who are going on vacation soon, pay attention!!! First off....... I'm in love with Pinterest....and the other day I came across a really cute pedi picture and thought I could do this for my nails ...OH YEAH!!!!

I started off with really cleaning my nails good, gave myself a good soak and scrub:) and then I jumped right in with China Glaze Blue Iguana on my ring finger, this goes on shear so I started here first...so I could layer it up.
Next step was the tips, I used my trusty Zoya Snow White, I always try to do this carefully but you have to cleanup anyway * shrugs shoulders*.
After that I broke out my trusty clean up brush and make sure my tips look pretty good:)
Add a layer of my Blue Iguana.
I let this dry for a few and then get my nail art brushes (I love these), and add a thin line under my tip of Blue Iguana.
Add another layer to my ring finger. Let dry for another few.
Now on to the nail art... the anchor was the hardest part of this mani. I took my time and still had to clean up a little *sigh* oh well learning is half the fun for me:) Finally I added a bottom base color to my tips, and top coat and your done!!! Wow I think I might need a vacation after that, lol. Here are the awesome picture!!!

My daughter just thought it was super cool:) Even the hubby said that he loved it:)  I loved it so much I wore this for 5 days...yes you read that right...5 days!!!! I did have to fix one nail but yeah I loved it that much:) Let me know if you try this and email me a picture, I would love to see it:)

Pure Ice Vinyl Remix

Hey everybody :) Today I have for you some of the new Pure Ice Vinyl Remix. The Pure Ice Vinyl Remix is a DJ inspired nail polish collection that allows you to do Art in Motion. When this first showed up at my door I was like this is a cool twist on the crackle effect! I have 4 of the 6 colors Emcee Me, Rave, DJ Spinner and Vintage Remix...aka yellow, orange, green and purple! Okay so you start off with a white base that comes with the polish...Platinum Magic Base Coat. Then you get to go crazy with the color you want to use and how you want to use it:) I guess I was in a *meh* kinda mood cause I really wasn't sure on what to do...here are the pictures.

Base Coat

As you can see in the pictures you can literally do what ever you want...side brush stroke, dots, half one color, so on and so on! I love that this changes the white to a different color:) I will say this to the folks out there wanting to get this and try it...less is more here! Don't try to glop on the top coat, just use this color coat in a thin layer so it will crack and look good. Overall I thought this is a cool idea for a teenage girl out there looking for a new polish, the polish was great polish ( nice white polish, colors really pop under the black).... this is just not me. I have always thought crackle was cool, I just hate the way it looks on me:(
Tell me what you think of this Magic Polish????

Happy Polishing Everyone!
Love,
~Anne~

I can Never chose just one!

Hey everybody! This is the end of our holo week here at SSP and Pat wanted me to do one more post....she said "just pick one"! This is always easier said than done! So I decided to do a rainbow....well a kinda. When I was looking through my drawers I just kept pulling polish out...."this is pretty" and awing at the holo goodness. So I came up with idea after reading through my latest magazine and seeing the new ads....the one that inspired me was  a Sebastian hair product ad, and a girl in a super cute skirt!
Okay so I started off with Zoya's Raven as a base polish....such a great black! And then I moved on to striping my colors in rainbow order on my nails. I used Glitter Gal's Red 3D Holo, Hits Hestia, Kleancolor Holo Yellow, Hits Hera, Glitter Gal's Blue 3D Holo, and Kleancolor's Chrome Holo....I can never chose just one!
Here are the pictures:)

So can you chose just one or are you more like me and have to used them all???

Happy Polishing Everyone!
Love,
~Anne~

Nail Art Wednesday....Butterflies

Hey everybody:) Today's nail art is BUTTERFLIES!!!! I love butterflies, I have three huge butterfly bushes outside my house and get tons of the beauties flying around. I started off with Glitter Gal's Marine Blue 3D/ Holo as a base.... this color by itself is awesome but in nail art it shines! The black on the nail is Zoya's Raven, and the white dots are Snow White. This was a little harder than I thought it would be, just had to practice a few times:)  Here are the pictures!

Mercury Twilight

Hello All! Today I have for you Layla Mercury Twilight...When I saw these on the Ulta website I went crazy! I needed a silver LINEAR holo because I don't own one. The price was a little on the high side for me at $15.50 per bottle but with a gift card I recently got I knew I could get two! So the down side I found with these is that they bald really easy and if you put a top coat on them you can kiss your linear holo G-O-O-D-B-Y-E! And yes I tried it with 5 different top coat's I own and all of them dulled it...I haven't tried it with my CG holographic topcoat yet but I might (maybe on the last day just in case). So this is 3 coats with a coat of top coat in-between coat 2 and 3.

Oh yea that baby SHINES! I love it!!!! I'm glad I didn't pick another color to go with instead of the silver because this was needed in my book. It truly is amazing!
So what do you think?
