ModLacquer swatch and review *picture heavy*

Hey everybody:) Today I have some polishes that I bought from ModLacquer that I wanted to share with y'all. Are you ready for holo goodness??? Miss Jennifer is making all kinds of beautiful polishes over at ModLacquer and just fell in love with her new holo collection ♥.

Clandestine is a teal holo that I just could not not buy. It is a teal that I didn't have in a holo, and doesn't disappoint in holo goodness.

Majic Eyes Only is a purple holo that is one of the prettiest holos I've ever seen! I saw this polish on her FB page first and was just drooling at all the holo goodness that was wrapped up in this bottle of polish!

HOLO GOODNESS!!! These polishes did not disappoint and I might have to get a couple more! I love both of these holo babies and if I was you I would go snag me a few and get the holo goodness going! Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of these holo babies!

Tye Dye Toes

Hey everybody:) Today I have a quick post all about my tye dye toes! So if you don't like toes LOOK AWAY!!! Yesterday I put up the new FingerPaints Poolside Paradise collection and did some tye dye nails with all the colors, this had me thinking that it was time to change the polish on my toes and get my summer look on! Well it has been as hot as blue blazes here so why not tye dye my toes! I used neon polishes from China Glaze and got to work! Here is the finished look... I love them!

What's not to like about these tye dye toes??? They really pop with white flip flops and are just perfect for that summertime look!! Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of these toes.

FingerPaints Poolside Paradise Swatch and Review

Hey everybody:) Today I have the new FingerPaints Poolside Paradise collection that was sent to me for review. FingerPaints has recently reformulated it's nail polish and I have to say I'm loving it! The new line was developed by nail techs and they really did a great job all the way down to the brush. Poolside Paradise is a neon bright, high impact micro-metallic polish with supreme sparkle and shine, this collection is available June 2014 at Sally's Beauty Supply $5.29 each.

Be My Baby is a red polish that has pink/gold shimmer. This polish was intense from the first second I put it on. I thought it would go on sheer, but oh no not this one... almost a one coater.

Aloha Lei is an orange polish with yellow/gold micro glitter. I put this polish on and it was my least favorite polish out of the bunch, I'm just not a orange girl. When I took this picture outside I kinda liked Aloha Lei just a little bit more cause of the effect I got from the glitter.

Hula Aruba is a yellow polish that has gold sparkle. This is a bright yellow that really reminds me of a yellow polka dot bikini. I did use two coats and that was full coverage, you could do more to add more color to your mani.

Margarita Mambo (what a great name!) is a green polish with lime micro glitter. This polish was the thinnest one I used from the six. I used two coats and thought I could use one more (ain't nobody got time for that!).

Surf's Up is a deep blue polish with blue/purple micro glitter. This polish is the prettiest cause of the almost chrome effect the polish takes on.

Wild Bikini is a very deep purple with purple/pink micro glitter. This polish wanted to be a one coater but left one or two streaks so I went with two.

Overall this collection is a great basic collection of colors. Nothing really hits me as a "I have to have this now!" collection, but you know when you are outside the whole collection gets a lot more interesting! With that said there are some really pretty things you can create with these polishes... tye dye, rainbows, etc and using your imagination the list is endless. So that is what I wanted to show y'all, here is a tye dye mani using Poolside Paradise Collection.

Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of this collection!

Salon Perfect Swatch and Review

Hey everybody:) Today I have 3 sets of Salon Perfect 2-pack polishes that were sent to me for review. Now whether you admit going to the "Big Wally World" or not, you might want to make a special trip for these great sets. The sets are fairly cheap at $4.98 each and there are tons of colors to choose from.

In Bloom (set 1) comes with Baby Blues and Varsity Blue, both are cream polishes. Baby Blues is a light blue that looks just like the name implies. Varsity Blue is a DEEP navy that goes on in one coat and is just about the prettiest navy I've ever seen.

These polishes are pretty on their own, but when you mix them up in a little water marble action... GOLD!

In Bloom (set 2) is Pocketful of Posies and Cupcake, both are cream polishes. Pocketful of Posies is a (very) light pink that looks like pink flower petals. Cupcake is a light lavender.

Better together in a water marble! The colors just go together like PB&J!

The Neon Pop set has Traffic Cone and Fired Up Fuchsia. Traffic Cone looks just like you think it would... neon orange. Fired Up Fuchsia is a neon hot pink that is my favorite out of the ones I swatched. Now if you love neon polishes but hate putting that white base coat on... these polishes are for you! NO white base coat needed and they are perfect in two coats and a top clear coat! I love these and can't wait to go find more!

With a little twist of a water marble, they are made for each other. A perfect pair!

under the water marble I did use a white base so the WM would show up

I love these Salon Perfect 2-pack sets! I've been having dreams of the things I can do with the polishes and can't wait to find more in the store. If you are looking for polish to pair together but can't ever find the right ones you need to check these babies out they are exactly what you need! So leave me a comment and tell me what you think of these sets and what you might try with them.

China Glaze Collection Off Shore Swatch and Review

Hey everybody:) I was sent 6 of the new China Glaze collection Off Shore for me to review. You can find more at China Glaze , this set is due out June 2014. With 12 new colors I can't wait to see the other 6, I'm really loving the ones I received... Here we go!

If In Doubt, Surf It Out is a light orange cream. This polish was pretty but blended in with my skin tone a little too much, not that crazy about this color on me:(

Wait N' Sea is a Aqua cream that is just my favorite out of the collection ♥. Make sure you have a base coat so no staining accrues. Kinda reminds me of a pool waiting to be jumped into!

Feel the Breeze is a baby pink neon cream. Now I thought this polish was just another pink, but this one is a keeper... looks great with a tan! Kinda reminds me of Flip Flop Fantasy just without the the tangerine color mixed in the polish.

Sea's The Day is a rich red cream. This polish is a perfect strawberry color and looks good enough to eat! What a great color... I just sometimes don't have words to share that help describe polishes, this is a perfect summer red.

I Sea The Point is a bright neon blue cream. In the bottle I thought this was a bulrpule color and would go on like the others... it did and didn't, the polish almost dried like a neon but not all the way matte, kinda strange!

Stoked To Be Soaked is a primary orange cream. I thought I was going to hate this color on but it surprised me in a great way! This polish has a touch of shimmer that makes it shine and complements my skin color that I thought no orange could ever do!

So all in all this collection gets a big A+. I loved all the colors and the way they will work great for summer. One thing I wanted to mention is that these polishes didn't have the formula like I was use to with China Glaze and they were a-tad watery but still wore in two coats. So leave me a comment and tell me what you think of these pretties.

This one's for Bea!

Hey everybody:) I hope y'all had a great weekend, I know I did! This post is for one of our biggest fans Bea, she asked me to do a water marble she had seen on pshiiit.com . And so I tried for a couple of days and to no fault of my own I couldn't recreate the water marble (I just didn't have the same colors). So I did try a couple of times and these are the results.

Attempt #1
I thought that because the photo showed holo that using all holo would give me the same effect... no such luck! In this W.M. I used a black base, Color Club Beyond, Eternal Beauty, Holo-Graphic and Cherubic. FYI if you are going to attempt this W.M. understand that holos are extremely hard to W.M. with and dry quickly. I think I kinda like the way this turned out anyway:)

Attempt #2
This W.M. is the closest I could get to the one from pshiiit. I didn't have the same colors but I think this turned out really pretty and the photos showed the chromes I used but not like IRL. I used Revlon Street Wear Raw, China Glaze Swanky Silk, Unpredictable and Color Club Cherubic with a black base coat.

those are water droplets from taking pictures under water

Wow these really had me working hard to get the right combos and the right everything else... I guess the Earth aligned with whatever and these two came out pretty great! Leave me a comment and tell me what y'all think of these W.M.
And Bea I hope you love them as much as we love you!

Happy Polishing Everybody!

Zoya Tickled Collection Swatch and Review

Hey everybody! Today I have the Zoya Tickled collection to show y'all, they sent me these for review. I love Zoya cream polishes, they go on in one to two coats and the end finish is just perfect and not to mention they are almost perfect to water marble with (maybe next week I'll have a water marble to show you guys). Lets get started.

Kitridge is described as a classic summer bubblegum pink cream. I like this color and it really looked almost neon on me with my darker skin tone.

Tilda is described as a warm mantis green cream that is a great alternative to a summer lime. Really this polish looks pea green to me and really don't like it in the bottle but on my nails its pretty.

Rooney is described as a mid-range magenta pink cream with balanced undertones to flatter most skin tones. This is a pretty color just was kinda missing something for me... looks good on but it didn't wowed!

Rocha is described as a classic folly red cream with warm undertones that enhance a summer glow! So I saw this polish and was like no way... its orange, but when I put it on I think that the color kinda grew on me to the point I like it, but it's still orange!

Ling is described as a vibrant royal blue cream that is evenly balanced to flatter most skin tones. I love this blue, just a perfect blue!

Wendy is described as a juicy summer melon, deep enough to flatter a tan but bright enough to stand out! I love this polish, it will be my go to color for summer :)

So I know a lot of these pinks look similar but they aren't! Some are for lighter skin tones and some for darker. I think that Zoya did a great job with these cream colors just wish there was a little more variety for a summer pallet. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of these polishes.

Zoya Bubbly Swatch and Review

Hey everybody:) Today I have the new Zoya collection Bubbly which they sent me for review. When I first saw these polishes I wasn't overly excited about them cause I'm not into glitter polishes. But after swatching and getting to wear and admire these babies I think they are growing on me(maybe). Lets get this started!

Alma is described as a warm golden peach metallic featuring the exclusive liquid-metal holographic jelly formula. I found it to be more yellow/gold on my skin tone, had to use three coats just not my cup of tea.

Binx is described as a spicy orchid purple dappled with gold metallic and holo sparkles. This polish reminds me of grape soda with all the fizzes that come along with it. Very pretty color and I think I might try it on my toes next!

Staasi is best described as a brilliant citron green with a gold metallic glaze and holographic finish. Now I looked at the picture on Zoya and what I have and they look totally different! On the site the polish looks light green and the bottle I have is a medium to dark green with tons of gold glitter. Not a green fan and this polish is one of the reasons why! I did manage to catch a pretty shot of the balance of green and gold.

Harper is a cotton candy pink with a spun gold shimmer. I think this is a Barbie pink and great if you want the look, but the grown up in me is like sorry I'm not 8 and is just too pink!

Jesy is a firey coral orange metallic holo. This is one of my favorites out of the bunch! And I think it has to do with complementing my skin tone so well. Jesy reminds me of Rica just with more glitter.

Muse is a blue raspberry holographic fizz with a subtle vein of gold. On Zoya's site the polish looks lighter than what the true color. I think this is another favorite from the bunch and the blue and gold combo is a great duo for summer.

So overall I think you can chose which ones you really like and skip the set unless you are a "glitter makes everything better girl". Leave me a comment and tell me if you are a glitter girl or if this set was a miss.
