Sassy Lacquer Review

Hey everybody:) Today I'm reviewing 2 polishes from a new friend of mine Sassy Lacquer (Carrie). Here is a little info about Sassy Lacquer....

Sassy Lacquer was created be Carrie Sasville, as a result of her love for pretty nail polish. Carrie makes every polish by hand and is "3 Free". Carrie has new polishes out for Fall, specifically Halloween that are just too fabulous ♥ Carrie also makes custom polish, you tell her what you want and she does her best to make your dream polish come true:) I will list all of her info at the bottom of the post.

The first polish I'm review today is Pick A Pumpkin. Pick a Pumpkin is a clear base with micro fine brass, mircro fine neon yellow glitter, small orange matte glitter, small orange metallic glitter, and small green matte glitter. This polish just sings "pumpkin". I love how it goes on and puts you in a harvest mood. And even alone with no base coat this is awesome♥  Here are the pictures.

The next picture is Pick A Pumpkin with different base colors underneath so y'all can see that this polish really goes with any color:) Great for Halloween!!!

The next polish is Pumpkin Spice. So I have to say that when I got the package and opened it up and saw Pumpkin Spice I instantly fell in love. But Carrie emailed me to let me know that that the brown glitter wasn't working out like she had hoped:( So I'm going to show you what I received and the NEW Pumpkin Spice. Okay here are the picture of what I received:)

Can you tell I loved it ♥

And next are the pictures Carrie sent me of the new Pumpkin Spice. Pumpkin Spice is a clear base with ultra fine brass glitter, a touch of ultra fine red glitter, a smidgen of ultra fine black glitter, a pinch of burning leaves glitter, fine white glitter, small orange matte glitter, small orange metallic glitter, and small brown glitter. Here are her pictures:)

So the final thought is I'm in love with these polishes and they are defiantly worth a try. Both polishes went on with little maneuvering of the glitter and came off super easy (no scrubbing off glitter). Remember Carrie can make you a custom polish....what's not to love about that:)  Here is all the info you will need...

So don't walk, Run on over to Sassy Lacquer and get these babies and many more before they are all gone! I can't wait to show y'all what she has in store for the Holidays ♥

The product(s) in this post were provided to me for review. For more information please visit our Disclosure Policy Tab.

Nail Art Wednesday......Sunflowers

Hey everybody:) As I was driving over to visit my mom the other day I saw sunflowers that were taller than me and just super beautiful. Well that really puts me in the mood for Autumn and wishing it would be cooler, can't you just see the leaves on the trees changing and smell the season change. So as soon as I got home I started on this really easy nail art for y'all.
I started off with Sinful colors Cinderella, which was the perfect base and looked like the sky that day:) I took my nail bushes out next along with Milani's nail art Yellow Design for the golden yellow petals on the flower. I did use Sally Hansen Emerald City for the leaves. After letting that dry for a few minutes I dotted Finger Paints Haute Taupe for the middle, well I wanted a darker center so I took my small #1 dotter and Zoya Raven and made a few dots to darken the center of the flower up. Okay here are the pictures :)

So what do y'all think??? I just love sunflowers and the way they follow the sun through out the day....and they really put me in the fall mood:)

Happy Polishing Everyone!

China Glaze releases Magnetix part two!

China Glaze Introduces Second Collection of Magnetic Nail Lacquers

Los Angeles, CA - (September 2012): Magnetic nail art took the beauty world by storm earlier this year, creating a nail art force that was hard for anyone to resist.  Following the phenomenal success of its first-generation Magnetix collection, China Glaze® introduces Magnetix II, an expanded second collection of magnetic nail lacquers.

As with the first Magnetix line, Magnetix II by China Glaze® is infused with iron powders that shift when exposed to the China Glaze® Magnetix II Magnet.  The China Glaze® Magnetix II collection features six dramatic metallic shades:
·         Gold Fusion – Rich gold
·         Positively In Love – Gorgeous magenta
·         Bond-Tastic – Soft rust
·         Get Charged – Dark lavender
·         Sparks Will Fly – Chic cobalt blue
·         Con-Fused? – Lively green

Along with the new shade line up, China Glaze® has created a second, specially designed magnet featuring three additional unique designs – a swirling circle, vertical lines and an intricate lattice.   The separate magnet allows more design options, especially when coupled with the original China Glaze® Magnetix Magnet.  Alternate designs, rotate the magnet, play with the positioning on the nail – the art creations are endless!

To create your own unique China Glaze® Magnetix II manicure:
1.Select desired magnet design.  Choose from circles, vertical lines or lattice effects.

2 . Apply one coat of China Glaze® Strong Adhesion Base Coat to clean nails; allow to dry completely.
     3.  Designing one nail at a time for best results, apply one coat of Magnetix II nail lacquer.  Immediately hold the China Glaze® Magnetix II Magnet over damp nail for 5-10 seconds, positioning so the built-in finger rest holds it steady.  (If you happen to touch the magnet to damp polish, simply wipe clean with nail polish remover – it won’t damage the magnet.)
     4. Once the design is fully developed and nails are dry, seal with China Glaze® Fast Forward Top Coat .

China Glaze® has also released a step-by-step video for the Magnetix II collection which can be viewed on China Glaze®’s official YouTube Channel.

China Glaze® Magnetix II is available now at salons and beauty supply stores nationwide with polishes and magnet sold separately.  The collection will be available in a 12-piece counter display and as open stock colors and magnet.

China Glaze® is free of DBP, toluene, and added formaldehyde.  For more information, visit, follow China Glaze® on Facebook (@ChinaGlazeOfficial) and Twitter (@ChinaGlaze).

Teal Tuesday

Hey Everybody:) In honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness month Pat and I are using Tuesdays too shine a little light on the subject:) Here is a little info from our President on the subject.

This year, thousands of American women will lose their lives to ovarian cancer.  They are mothers and daughters, sisters and grandmothers, community members and cherished friends -- and the absence they leave in our hearts will be deeply felt forever.  During National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, we honor those we have lost, show our support for women who bravely carry on the fight, and take action to lessen the tragic toll ovarian cancer takes on families across our Nation.
Sadly, women are all too often diagnosed with this disease when it has already reached an advanced stage.  Because early detection is the best defense against ovarian cancer, it is essential that women know the risk factors associated with the disease.  Women who are middle-aged or older, who have a family history of ovarian or breast cancer, or who have had certain cancers in the past are at increased risk of developing ovarian cancer.  Any woman who thinks she is at risk of ovarian cancer    or who experiences symptoms, including abdominal pain, pressure, or swelling -- should talk with her health care provider.  To learn more,
On going progress in science and medicine is moving us forward in the battle against ovarian cancer, and my Administration remains committed to improving outcomes for women suffering from this devastating illness.  Through agencies across the Federal Government, we are continuing to invest in research that paves the way for a new generation of tests and treatments.  Through the Centers for Disease Control's Inside Knowledge campaign, we are working to raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer.  The Affordable Care Act already bans insurance companies from dropping a woman's coverage because she has ovarian cancer, and from placing lifetime or restrictive annual dollar limits on her coverage.  Beginning in 2014, the law will also prohibit insurers from denying coverage or charging higher premiums because a woman has ovarian cancer -- or any other pre-existing condition.
Ovarian cancer affects the lives of far too many women every year, and the tragedy it leaves in its wake reverberates in communities across our country.  This month, we stand with all those who have known the pain of ovarian cancer, and we rededicate ourselves to the pursuit of new and better ways to prevent, detect, and treat this devastating disease.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim September 2012 as National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.  I call upon citizens, government agencies, organizations, health care providers, and research institutions to raise ovarian cancer awareness and continue helping Americans live longer, healthier lives.  I also urge women across our country to talk to their health care providers and learn more about this disease.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this thirty first day of August, in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-seventh.

Here is my mani for this week:)

And because I always need a little bling:)

Can you take a day and wear Teal??? And when people say to you "your polish is so pretty" can you say "thanks, I wear it for Ovarian Cancer month".

Happy Polishing Everyone!
