Tutorial Tuesday... Sunset with Palm Trees

Hey everybody:) Sorry I haven't been blogging lately, I guess I haven't had anything I wanted to write about; until now!
Pat made the suggestion that I do a tutorial Tuesday (again)... Here is the thing, Pat and I do an Instagram post on Saturday's called Sister Saturday and a lot of those post I've been doing a quick video how to post to go along with. She suggested that maybe doing a Tutorial Tuesday instead of posting a quick video. Well DUH!!! So here I am again blogging and bringing y'all Tutorial Tuesday!!!

Today's tutorial is a ombre with palm trees! For this ombre I used Maybelline Sunset Prisms and Milani Pink Pop, topped with China Glaze Angel Wings. I used Orly Liquid Vinyl for the palm trees. Here is a video tutorial, enjoy :)

P.S. If you haven't tried Simply Peel Latex Barrier by Bliss Kiss... You need to go get you some!!! Best thing for the messy artist in you!

Hunger Games, Mockingjay Mani

Hey everybody! I so super excited about Mockingjay part 1 coming out today, eekk!!!! I loved the books and the movies are just as good:) So in honor of this movie opening today and my love of the books I wanted to have a special mani to show some love!

I started out with Orly Liquid Vinyl as a black base, and matte top coated my thumb, pointer, and pinkie finger, took my clear top coat and drew a pattern on them. I used China Glaze Electrify on my middle finger. On my ring finger I painted (or tried to) the mockingjay symbol. I think this came out really well :)

Here is a close up of my ring finger and the mockinjay symbol. I did a little more coloring in so that the bird would stand out more:)

I kinda love this mani its exactly what I wanted! Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of this mani and if you are going to see the movie:)

Happy Polishing Everyone, and my the odds be ever in your favor!

31 Days of October... Jack the Pumpkin King!

Hey everybody:) Today I have a really cute Jack the Pumpkin King mani to share with y'all, I first saw this on Pinterest by Botanic Nails. The mani in her picture made me want to try these out, and I love them! I started out with my base colors white and orange. Made dots on my pointer finger in black and orange and the started on Jack's head, after that had time to dry I then took striping tape and made the black lines under Jack's head. Here is my version of Jack the Pumpkin King!

Oh how I love Halloween! These nails are down right adorable! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of this mani.

Feeling a little grey!

Hey everybody:) Today I wanted to share my blue and grey mani that I manage to keep for about 5 minutes before I broke a nail and hurt my back. First a moment of silence for the broken nail (I had to file all of them down and now I have nubbins!) ____Silence____ Thank you! And as far as my back not sure what I did to it but it hurts :(
This mani is one I've wanted to try for a while and finally got the stickers to give it a go. I started off with tips of China Glaze For Audrey and painted my ring fingernail. After that had finished drying I added to the tips a line in Orly Decoded (love that grey!). I gave my ring finger a little more dry time just to make sure the tape would not peel polish up. Okay then I added my tape and painted Decoded on top (two coats) of the ring finger. Finished with a top coat and instant nail art!

This is such a easy and fun way to dress up you mani... love! I'm already missing my nails, hope they don't take to long to grow out. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of this look.

Peacock Feather

Hey everybody:) Today I have a peacock inspired mani for y'all!
Just a little back round on me, I live in Georgia and out in the country.... I mean like in the middle of no where! So we get a lot of wild life here from deer to wild turkey and yes peacocks. I have never seen the peacock but I sure have heard it, if you don't know what it sounds like do a search and then you will know, they are super loud and the males have a particular call! So yesterday when I was outside in-between the rain showers I heard the peacock and thought what a great idea for a mani:) Did a search for feathers and got to work! This mani did take a while to finish only because I wanted to give some of the polish time to dry.
Here is the peacock inspired mani:)

Peacock feather up close!

I really love the look of the dark blue mixed with the teal to give that pop to the mani! Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of this mani :)

Above the Bay

Hey everybody:) Today I have a really cool mani that I like to call "Above the Bay". I found this tutorial on Pinterest and wanted to try it out.... here is the LINK. This was harder than I thought it was going to be, but the more I practiced the easier it seemed to get.
In my mani I didn't use any beads and kinda improvised on a few things. Some colors I didn't have so I just used what I had and mix what I needed to.
Now you have to imagine that you are in a plane flying over the bay, looking down at the sand and the ocean.  Here are my pictures of Above the Bay:)

My nail didn't come out as nice as the girl on the tutorial's did but I kinda like the look:) Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of this mani.

Hibiscus Fowers

Hey everybody:) Today I have some really cute tips I dressed up with a hibiscus flower! They are super cute for summer and pretty easy to do!

I started off with a plain white tip, and then painted the flower. For the flower I used Milani Yellow Wiz and made 5 petals. On top of the yellow I used Orly Passion Fruit and made the same 5 petals, I just made sure that the yellow would peep through. Then I made the center of the flower with the yellow, added leaves and a pink line under the tip ... done! Here are my pictures:)

I love how bright and summery these nails are (since we haven't seen the sun in Ga in like 2 weeks!). So if you are sick of the rain and are looking to brighten up a mani I would defiantly try this look out!
Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of the Hibiscus Flowers.

Lush Lacquer..... Clowning Around

Hey everybody:)  Today I have a new love to show y'all it's Lush Lacquer's Clowning Around ♥ I saw this beauty on Lush Lacquer's FB page and just fell in love with it and had to make it mine! All this neon glitter and the clear base was just too much not to resist, I have see everybody using this polish with a white base coat and it looks amazing but I wanted to try something a little different. I did blue tips and a accent nail with Orly Royal Navy and the applied Clowning Around, I think it really turned out awesome! Here are my pictures:)

Fantasea

Hi everyone! Today I have for you Orly Fantasea I picked this up awhile ago when I picked up Orly Butterfly! I have worn it maybe one time but I was going through my polish and knew it was time to wear it again.  This is 3 thin coats of Fantasea, I used three coats because I had a vnl with two.

Have you ever had a color in your stash and not used it...then you pick it up and wear it and wonder why you waited? I love purple and should shown this off sooner!

Hey everybody:) Today I have 2 mani's with Zebra print. I've wanted to do this for a while but never had the right combo jump out at me, well not only did 1 jump but 2 did for me today!

The first one is purple and silver. I started of with 3 coats of Material Girl's Phychedelic. Then I free handed Zoya Trixie on for the stripes. Here are the pictures :)

The next combo and my favorite a neon pink and blue. For my base color I used Orly's Beach Cruiser. For the stripes I used Material Girl's Harlequin ♥ Here are the pictures ♥

Hope you love these combos as much as I do ♥  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think:)
