Wild at heart!

Hi all this is what I'm wearing today. A nice neon gradient. I couldn't decide if I wanted just the blues, green and yellow or I wanted the oranges, yellow and green. So I compromised and did my left hand with an accent nail of the orange, light orange, yellow and green.. and on my right I used the accent with blue green and yellow.

I loved them equally and I couldn't decide which I wanted to wear more so I did both.

The colors I used are Dj Blue My Mind, UV Meant to Be, Treble Maker and Daisy Know My Name.
Red-y to Rave, Home Sweet House Music, Daisy Know My Name and Treble Maker.
I used Born Pretty plate BP-17 with a white polish to stamp.

Have a nice day everyone and thank you for stopping by our blog!

Just a neon kind of day!

Hi all today's post is a quick one...I am wearing right now a sponged/gradient manicure. I used three wonderful neon polishes from Salon Perfect. I used Oh Snap!, Mer-Made of Money and Purple Pop! I stamped with a white polish and used Bundle Monster Plate BM 404. My base color was a white from Salon Perfect called Sugar Cube which is a great white and really made the neon colors pop!

I really liked how this turned out! I think I'll be doing more gradients in the future! Have a great day!

Blue Gradient

Hi everyone! I have a quick post for today....a simple gradient.

I started with a base of Salon Perfect Blue Mint.

I added a bit of white for ever sponged level of the gradient until the very tips of my nails are sponged white.

I then did a simple flower with a dotting tool. :)
See easy manicure! Well ladies enjoy your day!

Take me to the beach! Nail Art Wednesday

Hi everyone today I have for you my play day! I was coming up with a fade to wear and I have been practicing my nail art...so a day at the beach...

So first up is the one I liked the most except for the white. I still have a heavy hand when it comes to some stuff and it just doesn't work but the white is supposed to be light fluffy clouds..and if you look close to my ring finger (second from the right) you will see I added a sail boat ^_^

So after the clouds didn't work I tried out another way starting with blue and ending with orange I like how this turned out because to me this was more of a sun coming up instead of going down ^_^

I have to say the fade is pretty easy to do the first manicure I did I had only 3 colors plus black and white...the second manicure I had 4 colors plus black and white. Some practice has gone into me painting with a striping brush. I did have fun making these I always love to see an idea come together!
What is your favorite summer manicure? What are you wearing the most of neon, or bright colors?

My first Tutorial (picture heavy!)

Good Morning Everyone today I have for you my very first tutorial. I was asked a few times how to do the Fade look. So I wanted to let y'all know how I do it! So this is the stuff I use when doing a fade manicure...I pick out the color I want-- I wanted a blue...So I got my lightest blue out to start for my base *KleanColor Pastel Blue, then an in between blue I choose *Color Club Pure Energy, my Darkest color is *Color Club Trippie Hippie and to make the colors blend a bit more I used KleanColor Holo Blue on top of everything. Here is my set up...

My base coat is O.P.I. Natural Base Coat...I have an old plastic container top that I use to put polish on, an old pair of Tweezers, a toothpick to mix the colors together with, my cut up sponges, and my top coat.
Now I know this is a pretty horrible picture of the base color (best I have...I'm sorry I did redo parts of it after and forgot to take new pictures) but this shows you the steps I take when I'm Sponging...
I start with my base color *above #1* (**all over the nail or sometimes just half way) (Pastel Blue)
Between #1 and 2 would be the mixture of my first color and my middle color (pastel blue and pure energy).
Between #2 and 3 would be my in between color (pure energy).
Between #3 and 4 would be a mixture of middle color and darkest color (pure energy and trippie hippie.
At #5 I would finish with my Darkest Color ( Trippie Hippie)

**Do you see my boo-boo?! It will be covered up/ blended down so you can't notice it so if you happen to make a mistake with your polish like this remember with the patting you are going to be doing with the sponge it will blend the polish back together. ** So you see here I mixed my middle color and my base color and made this then I took my sponge with my tweezers dabbed it into the color then started sponging now don't try for a straight line trust me it will look better as a wonky line ~ I promise!
In this picture I know you can barely the second step but everything blended nicely by the end and I could see the difference of the fade when I looked down at my nails.

After finishing with all my steps I added the KleanColor Holo Blue to blend the colors..I found no matter what sparkle I use (China Glaze fairy dust or kleancolor holo's) they blend the colors really well if I put it on about a minute or less after I'm done with the color nearest the tip of my nails. * If you want to skip this you can and just add your top coat it will do the same blending that the holo does*

*SNAP* Here it is after I have cleaned it up! Now the colors REALLY pop in person and I think you can really see the fade in these pictures.

So what do you think? Have you tried the fade look?

Until next time I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Time for a hard lemon-limeade (Picture Heavy!)

Good Morning Ladies last week while I was having fun with the nice weather, grilling and drinking adult beverages of homemade hard lemon-limeade so when I went to paint my nails and grabbed Get Your Lem-on from Color Clubs Wicked Sweet Collection I knew what I was going to do! I wanted a gradient look which is one of the looks I love to do because it is quick simple and looks great. So I started with 3 coats of Get Your Lem-on which has a lovely green shimmer to it and smells like super sweet lemon candy!

See that shimmer oh my gosh I have so much love for neon yellow! I'll tell you when I use to get acrylics done about 10-11 years ago I use to get Neon Yellow once in the while in the summer...After that I decided to grab my The Lime Starts Here from the wicked collection (neon green doesn't smell like lime to me though!) if I could go back I would pick out my other neon from color club that has a shimmer to it so it would kinda blend more...oh well c'est la vie! Then I decided I needed something else and grabbed for my fimo Lemon and Lime of course and stuck them on with my bubbly top coat just to see if I could and while it took longer then my nail glue it worked great!

I still wasn't done I looked at it and thought (sometimes I go to far! lol) where is my HARD! so I grabbed my China Glaze Fairy Dust! This manicure would have stayed on longer if I didn't want to change my color for the weekend! Four Days!!!! I'd like to point out that the green did stand out more then the pictures show...

Oh how I love gradient looks one of my favorites right up there with french manicures. I can't wait for more Sunny weather (it's nasty thunderstorms here right now) and for more Summer time manicures. I hope you Ladies had a wonderful weekend. ^_^

So tell me what you do you think of the gradient look?

How long does your manicure usually last before you get bored or it chips?

Until next time enjoy polishing those nails! I'm off to see if I can get some shots of my nails before it starts to rain again.
