Breaking Dawn Mani!!!! Picture Heavy!

I hope everyone is as excited as I am about Breaking Dawn coming out on the 18th !!! This series is epic!!! I love Twilight.... like you couldn't tell:) So in honor of the movie I deiced to do a mani. I wanted not only capture the essence of the movie but also wanted to include the books . The first thing I thought of was the front of the books...the chess pieces White Queen and the Red Pawn. The next thing I was thinking of was the forest and the wolves .... there was no way I can free hand a wolf, so I did a forest look. 4-ever ... need I say more, well I guess I do Pat was like whatcha talking about and I said Bella wants to be with Edward 4-ever... she got it finally:) Last but not least I was looking at the movie poster online and thought to myself.... I can so do a fade to look like the sky. So there you go 5 looks for Breaking Dawn. Here is a picture of my mani:)

I hope you can see what I was trying to do.

Sorry I didn't take a close up of my pinkie:(   I just did a few trees on my pinkie. Everything was free handed and took a great deal of trial and error. I hope y'all enjoy my mani as much as did doing it for y'all. I can't wait until the movie comes out * Huge Smile*.
Let me know what you think of the mani, movies or books???
Happy Polishing Everyone!

Zombie Nails....AHHHH!!!!

Okay Pat has talked me into doing a post today about my Zombie Nails. I did want to wait and do this one on Halloween( a part of my 10 days of Halloween)... Lucky y'all!!! This is one of the most awesome mani's I've done in a long time:) Here is a picture of the finished look... hope its not to scary:)

Okay let me just say you should use fake nails... but I chipped a nail so I used my own. First you need to cut some chips out of your (fake) nails. I also took a course nail file and filed away from my nails beds; kinda like buffing ,you want some ridges in your nails. After that if you need to glue your nails on do so now. You need to start with a brown polish... I didn't have a dark brown so I used Sally Hansen Stony Creme mixed with a touch of black. You will sponge your nails all over with the brown, don't worry about it being perfect cause remember it's Zombie Nails!! Let that dry a bit and then you need to take your white polish close to the bed of your nails and make your Lanula(the half moon shaped thing under your nail by the nail bed), remember sponge on and it doesn't have to be perfect. With your brown mix it with black, I used Wet n Wild RIP Black Pearl and again you want to sponge on... this you just want to darken up your nail and not cover everything up.  Take your red polish I used OPI Color So Hot It Berns and sponge on to make a blood effect. Here is a picture of just the nails painted:)

So after all the polish and you getting the Zombie effect just the way you want it now you can play with the Halloween makeup. Here is what I used.

With the Halloween makeup start with the brown and sponge all around the nails. Take the red makeup and sponge under your nails so to add to the blood effect. Now your going to need to mix the brown with the black and sponge down your nails  just as far as you'd like to go. The last little touch is to take the Vampire Blood and put this around your nail beds, to give that bleeding undead look. And that's it, I know it sounds like a lot but it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I hope you've enjoyed this post as much as I did doing this mani for y'all:)
I just wanted to leave you with this... From the Movie Zombieland the First 10 Rules.

Aloha!!!

Aloha everybody! I hope you ladies have had a great weekend, all it did here was rain(yuck). But that does give me time to think of new ideas for ya'll ( in between running after kids and dogs, lol). I was going to try water paint, take that back I did try water paint but it went terribly wrong:( So I came up with this Aloha Idea:) This really reminds me of  being on a beach with a good drink in my hand and the sand in my toes. Really super easy to do, I did use the sticker dots to help make the tip, I started off with Zoya Ali for the tip, O.P.I. Pearl of Wisdom for the base, So Easy Stripe Silver, and Kiss Art Stickers to finish it off.

Kiss Art Stickers, Zoya Ali, O.P.I. Pearl of Wisdom, So Easy
Stripe Silver

This is one of my favorite manicures to do during the summer. Love the way Zoya Ali is so bright and cheerful, the way O.P.I Pearl of Wisdom shines with an iridescent pink. The Kiss Stickers were really easy to use and just brought that extra something to the mani.

Aloha Mani

I hope you ladies try this one out, it will take you to that beach you've been dreaming of.
I can here the water now, its call my name... Anne come to the beach. LOL

Well thats all for now ... ALOHA everybody!! What your  favorite summertime mani???
