Super Ultra Violet

Hi all I'm back with another beautiful Morgan Taylor polish. Super Ultra Violet was sent to me for review and is a beautiful indigo. This is two coats of Super Ultra Violet. The formula was so nice and smooth I was almost able to use one coat for this!

Super Ultra Violet was really nice and pretty color. Do you have any Morgan Taylor polishes? Which is your favorite?

Prettier in Pink

Hi all today I have for you Prettier in Pink from Morgan Taylor that was sent to me for review.  The pictures show 2 coats of Prettier in Pink. A bright fun pink and the formula was great no problems for me at all. Morgan Taylor does have a thicker brush then what I'm use to working with but I had no problems using it.

I did wear this for a few days and did a little nail art on my ring finger.

What do you think? I'm really liking the polish and the wear I got out of it.

Zoya Pixie Dust Fall 2013 Review

Hi all today I have for you Zoya's Fall Pixie Dust Collection that was sent to me for review. Matte textured polishes that are great for fall. Let's go ahead and take a look!

Arabella is described as rich fuchsia pink. I wore 2 coats of Arabella but I could have used only 1. Arabella is very pretty and I think you could probably wear it year around a Christmas party or on a Summer picnic.

Carter is described as a royal purple which describes it perfectly! I loved Carter in the bottle. and thought that it would be as awesome as Arabella with coats but it wasn't. Carter was a three coater for me. Is it worth three coats? oh heck yea but it's just a tad disappointing that it was.

Chita is described as forest green. I used 2 coats of Chita but I probably could have gotten away with 1.  Chita reminds me of Christmas pines.

Dhara is described as a firey orange copper. Again I used 2 coats but I could have gotten away with just 1. Dhara is such a great Fall color that reminds me of the leaves turning colors in the mountains!

Sunshine is described as "Van Gogh" navy blue. I used 2 coats for Sunshine but I think one would have been ok. I can just see this used as a base color for Van Gogh nail art!

Tomoko is described as a champagne silver. I used 2 coats for full coverage for Tomoko. I think you could use this at any holiday. Can't you just see this on your nails at Christmas, New Years or maybe just for winter break?

I really liked all of these colors they are bright and fun. I thought I would have a favorite but to be honest I like them all. A few of these colors are really such a great colors you have to see them in person to know how stunning the sparkle in the textured matte polish really is. If you decide to top coat these they just kick the color up a notch! What do you think of these?

You can find all of these on sale at Zoya's web site. You can also find Zoya on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest

My Weekend Manicure

Hi all I have finally made time to do stamping which I love to do but it's usually for the weekend. So I figured I'd so show you what I wore this past weekend. I started with Nina Ultra Pro"Punki Pink" that I bought after I wore something similar for a pedicure. I really like this color it's so bright and great for the summer time.

I used the XL-A stamping plate from llarowe stamped with KleanColor Metallic Black.  I'm really looking forward to this coming weekend because I'm hoping to pull off a great manicure for my weekend I'm going to see The Wolverine...so I'm thinking a comic inspired manicure. Do you guys have any idea's for that? Do you ever do special manicures for your weekend plans?

Mint Mani for Talia Joy ♥

Hey everybody:) Today I dedicate this mint mani to Talia Joy, along with many in the nail blogger community who have put up similar post.
Talia Joy was a beautiful young lady who recently lost her battle with cancer.

There is so much I want to say about how Talia inspired me to be a better person, but I'm at a lost for words. God sent Talia to share her passion and love with the world, mission accomplished. Every time I start to type I tear up so here is my Mint Mani for Talia Joy:)

Here is a poem I found, not sure who it is the author is to give credit.

It's hard to know just what to say,
When one so young is taken away.
Far too soon she had to part,
Her memory forever engraved in our heart.

We only knew her for a short while,
But the life she led made us smile.
She was so beautiful and oh so rare,
Life as they say just isn't fair.

Those gone before her will watch her with care,
Till the day comes when we'll all join her there.

Know Talia Joy is watching from heaven above,
And with each ray of sunshine, she's sending her love.

Happy Polishing Everyone

Love,

~Anne~

Quick Post

Hi all today I wanted to show you my manicure from the weekend. The base I have worn a few times before because it's so beautiful and is so blingy in the sun!  This is Picture Polish's Atomic from the mind of Samarium's Swatches.

I stamped Atomic with kleancolor metallic pink with the xl-a plate I purchased from the llarowe shop.  Then using my dotting tool I put a dot of white in the middle of the flowers.
There ya have it ^_^ my weekend manicure. I hope everyone enjoys their day!

Peacock Feather

Hey everybody:) Today I have a peacock inspired mani for y'all!
Just a little back round on me, I live in Georgia and out in the country.... I mean like in the middle of no where! So we get a lot of wild life here from deer to wild turkey and yes peacocks. I have never seen the peacock but I sure have heard it, if you don't know what it sounds like do a search and then you will know, they are super loud and the males have a particular call! So yesterday when I was outside in-between the rain showers I heard the peacock and thought what a great idea for a mani:) Did a search for feathers and got to work! This mani did take a while to finish only because I wanted to give some of the polish time to dry.
Here is the peacock inspired mani:)

Peacock feather up close!

I really love the look of the dark blue mixed with the teal to give that pop to the mani! Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of this mani :)

Above the Bay

Hey everybody:) Today I have a really cool mani that I like to call "Above the Bay". I found this tutorial on Pinterest and wanted to try it out.... here is the LINK. This was harder than I thought it was going to be, but the more I practiced the easier it seemed to get.
In my mani I didn't use any beads and kinda improvised on a few things. Some colors I didn't have so I just used what I had and mix what I needed to.
Now you have to imagine that you are in a plane flying over the bay, looking down at the sand and the ocean.  Here are my pictures of Above the Bay:)

My nail didn't come out as nice as the girl on the tutorial's did but I kinda like the look:) Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of this mani.

Hibiscus Fowers

Hey everybody:) Today I have some really cute tips I dressed up with a hibiscus flower! They are super cute for summer and pretty easy to do!

I started off with a plain white tip, and then painted the flower. For the flower I used Milani Yellow Wiz and made 5 petals. On top of the yellow I used Orly Passion Fruit and made the same 5 petals, I just made sure that the yellow would peep through. Then I made the center of the flower with the yellow, added leaves and a pink line under the tip ... done! Here are my pictures:)

I love how bright and summery these nails are (since we haven't seen the sun in Ga in like 2 weeks!). So if you are sick of the rain and are looking to brighten up a mani I would defiantly try this look out!
Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of the Hibiscus Flowers.

Not so great!

Hey everybody:) Today I wanted to share some of the 4th nail art failures. Now sometimes I do things and they sound really great in my head and on paper, but when I finish the nail art it just looks like crap:( But I wanted to show you a few of the "not quite up to par" nail art from this week.

Here we go! First up is a water marble that really pissed me of.... as you can see the blue on the two middle fingers smeared and I had to do a little fill in work, boo! And I thought this one looked to much like the other water marble from Monday. Failure #1.

Next I did a star and stripes mani. Well the star didn't come out great and I really couldn't get passed that. So this is Failure #2.

This next mani was a really good idea in my head. I wanted to do half red and the other half blue and put stars in the middle.... well the stars from the polish I was going to use were to old and falling apart. And the white line just didn't do it for me:( Failure #3.

This next mani wasn't too bad. I did free hand fireworks. I really wanted more glitz, every time I went to make a post for this mani I just couldn't bring myself to put it up. So this mani is Failure #4.

Wow that is a load off me! I hope y'all know that I try really hard to bring you the best I can do and hope you enjoy reading our blog:) Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of these Failure manis!

Happy Polishing Everybody!
