SensatioNAILs

Hello Ladies Today I have for you a review for SensatioNail Gel Magnetic Polish. The gel kept my nails from breaking when they are long because my nails are so thin. Though I found that I had to be extra careful while applying the gel because if you get it on your skin or your cuticle number one it looks bad and number two it doesn't feel great when you are curing it in the led lamp and if you want to keep it on you don't want it to look bad.

This is the starter kit it comes with Gel Cleanser, Gel Primer, Gel Base & Top Coat, Color Gel Polish, LED Lamp, Lint-free Wipes, Double-sided Nail Buffer and a wood manicure stick.

Here are the actual how to:
1. File and Lightly buff the natural nail.
2. Using the Lint-Free Wipe, Clean nails with Gel Cleanser.
3. Apply one thin layer of Gel Primer to nail and air dry.
4. Apply a thin layer of the Gel Base & Top Coat, avoiding skin and cuticles. Cure for 30 seconds.
5. Apply a thin and even layer of the Magnetic Gel Polish, avoiding skin and cuticles. Cap the natural nail and cure for 90 seconds.
6. Apply a second layer of Magnetic Gel Polish, and immediately place magnet over nail for 10 seconds until design appears. Cure for 90 seconds.
7. Apply a thin layer of the Gel Base & Top Coat, avoiding skin and cuticles. Cap nail and cure for 30 seconds.
8. Finish by removing the moisture layer with gel cleanser and lint-free wipes.

Magnetic Gel Polish in Tantalize comes with the magnet which as you can see in the next few pictures that I had a bit of trouble with placement of the magnet...I followed the instructions to a T. I found that you had to work really fast when putting on the first coat of magnet polish or it would shrink. The second coat you placed the magnet over it and cure it. I was only doing one nail at at that point because you have to work fast so it takes a bit of time but it's worth it!

Day one

Day Seven you can see the growth but other than that it's still shiny as the first day I put it on!

Day Twelve- as you can see the growth and on my index finger I had some lifting which I believe is from my typing and tapping of nails that I seem to do...well it was just lifting until I noticed and then it turned out like you see above. It probably stayed for a few more days but I can't stand lifting even if it's one day or twelve and I tend to pick.

For removal SensatioNail has a removal kit or you can soak in 100% pure acetone. I used the method of Soaking cotton balls in acetone and putting them on my nails with aluminum foil holding them on. Removal was a bit tougher then what I thought it would be (I started with my left hand) and kept it on for about 12 minutes...it needed longer (on my right hand it came off easier--you live you learn) and after I scrapped with the wooden manicure stick I put my cotton balls back on with more acetone. Voila clean nails just like I left them before I put on gels. My nails are thin so I was a little worried it would mess up or ruin my nails nope no harm done!

This picture is showing you my nails with just the Gel Base & Top Coat on I wore this for a week before taking it off and doing the Magnetic Gel set. It is really easy to remove it as it just flakes off (I put the cotton ball soaked in acetone on my finger with the aluminum foil).

I really do recommend this if you want stronger nails all you have to do is skip  adding color process. Maybe you are going away on vacation I think this would be perfect.
SensatioNail has a few basic colors that you can find here on their web page. Find them on Facebook here, Twitter here, and Pinterest here

I love Christmas Water Marble

Hey everybody:) Today I have for y'all a water marble inspired by Cristina from Let them have Polish! She did and awesome water marble last year that I've been wanting to try forever, so this is my version of her water marble. Click HERE to see her water marble.
Okay for starters I have none of the colors she used, so I had to rummage through my drawers to find the colors I needed. This was the longest day ever... I had to try the colors and then change one for another and so on and so on. So finally after my kids got home from school I found what I wanted to use and these are the pictures of my Christmas Water Marble!

Okay so what do y'all think?? I love this and I'm going to wear this mani for our family Christmas party and Christmas day!

Happy Polishing Everybody!

Water Marble Christmas Trees

Hey everybody:) Today I have a super cute water marble that looks like Christmas trees! I love decorating my tree, my hubby would say that I'm a little OCD about the tree and really I am ( lol ). So it was only natural to try to water marble this Christmas symbol, and it turned out great! Here are the pictures.

My pointer finger, my favorite in my mani ♥

Here is a shot with a ornament I made this year!

So what do y'all think of this water marble? I love it and the hubby said that this is the kind of tree he likes... No MESS! I have one more shot for y'all here is a picture of my real Christmas tree:)

Santa will you bring me snow?

Hi all..I really love snow through the winter holiday's. I remember when I was a kid cutting up coffee filters and decided to do different snow art on my nails. I started with my base of Essie Barefoot in Blue. I then took a white and used a super thin nail art brush and made lines or for my thumb and index finger I used a dotting tool. I then used my dotting tool to add Hits Hefesto dots around the snow flake to act like the sun catching different angles of snow. ^_^

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Santa and Friends

Hello everyone today I have a bit of Nail Art. I was happy with the out come as I'm not great with free hand art. I started with my base of China Glaze Secret Per-Wink-Le...I free Handed a jagged line in white on my pinkie and thumb nails then used my dotter and made random snow dots. The wreathe is made with China Glaze Mistletoe Kisses and the ribbon and berries on the wreathe are Adventure Red-Y.

For the snow man I used a white, and 9.0.2.1.Orange for the nose, China Glaze Sugar Plums for the scarf, Wet 'n Wild Black Creme  for the hat-eyes-smile, China Glaze Mistletoe Kisses for the sash on the hat, China Glaze Call of the Wild for the arms.
Santa was made with Adventure Red-Y for the body-mittens-hat, White for the puff on his hat-mittens and beard, Wet 'n Wild Black Creme for his eyes and a nude color for his face.

I really did enjoy making these on my nails!
I hope you have a wonderful day.

Christmas Nail Art

Hey everybody:) Today I have a mani that was inspired by all those old Christmas movies, like Rudolph the Red nose Reindeer, Santa's coming to town, and Frosty the Snowman. I loved watching these movies when I was growing up and luckily this year they have all been on so my family (the kids) can enjoy them :)
Here are the pictures of my mani:)

Oh yeah baby, I ♥ Christmas! So all this is done free hand and with the tree I used nail art tape. These are so cute I can't stand it!
Leave a comment and tell me what you think of this Christmas mani. I think it is one of my favorite mani's this year!

Happy Polishing Everybody!
Love,
~Anne~

Holo Holiday: Let it snow!

Hi all! Today I have for you Essence's Hard to Resist which is a beautiful blue. I took one of my nail art brushes and Color Club's Harp On It to make stars and then my smallest dotting tool and made dots. A little midnight sky on a snowy night.

Something anyone could do..and you could probably use a toothpick if you don't have nail art brushes or a dotter.
Are you a Snow person?
I know I love snow..but being out in it for a while is not my thing!
I hope you have a wonderful day everyone!

Holo Holiday: Snow is in the air!

Hi Everyone!! ^_^ This week is going to be a week of Holographic Holiday manicures. Today's post polish was a lovely gift from a friend. I actually received a few Holo's from her all of them to die for. Ladies! I swoon over the holo's I was given because they are truly amazing. This is 3 coats of Red.

The first two pictures where taken inside with a flash and the other two outside.

I have a few fimo sticks from Bundle Monster and I picked out the Snow flake stick and cut up a few. I know they might look a bit large but they really aren't.

I really liked how this turned out.

What is your favorite color to wear during the holidays?

Pure Ice Diamond Couture Review

Hey everybody:) Today I have 6 of the Pure Ice Diamond Couture Collection for y'all. I think that these polishes are perfect for those Christmas and Holiday parties I know y'all are attending this year. Your nails can make that statement and sparkle for you all night while you are getting your party on!

First up is Silver Lining. You may have seen this polish in my other review but I wanted to show y'all again.  A clear polish with silver glitter and silver diamond large shard flakes. This polish is amazing alone.

The Family Jewels is up next. This polish has gold shards along with gold glitter. This polish really went on thick and the shards came out in bunches, but after a little spreading I got my mani the way I wanted it:)

Material Girl is a rose pink polish with pink glitter and shards. This would really rock all those black cocktail dresses and give you that pop of color.

Party Of Five is next. This polish has green glitter with green shards. This color I had to wear around for a while for it to grow on me (y'all know I'm not a huge green fan). I think with the right outfit and maybe just a accent nail this color could be fun.

Tinsel Town caught my eye when I opened the package. This polish has tons of blue glitter and shards. I thought this color covered better than the rest.

Hot-Rocks is up last. What a great polish with black base and silver glitter and shards. This polish really hits the spot with going out and having fun. It really makes your nail pop with all the glitter.

And with all Pure Ice Nail Polishes, all the polishes in the Diamond Couture collection are free from formaldehyde, toluene and DBP. And are available at Walmart stores nationwide for $1.97 each.

Final thoughts on these glitter bombs. I love how these might be a better choice than dawning that cocktail ring or big piece of jewelry. I think if your looking for that extra sparkle for the holidays this is a great deal for $1.97 and you can go conservative with a accent nail or all out bling with all over coverage for your mani.

P.S. Have you checked out our Facebook page? We have a great little giveaway going on over there, here is the link:  https://www.facebook.com/SouthernSisterPolish/app_228910107186452

Happy Polishing Everybody!

oh it's pretty

Hi!!! Another water marble to share. This one I don't remember what I used :( I'm so sorry I don't but the dots where done with an Essie.

I loved how the Gold complimented the Brown and Blue!

Are you Ready for Holiday posts? What would you like to see Anne or I do?

I'm on Cloud NINE!

Good Morning! Today I have for you a few inside pictures of Color Club's Cloud Nine! Love at first wear.

Isn't she beautiful? I really do love these "Halo's" from Color Club.

What do you look for the most in a polish? Easy use, color, dry time?
