Winter wonderland Day 3..........Candy Cane Mani

Hey everybody! Today I have a water marble for you that reminds me of Candy Canes:) When I think of winter I think of  Christmas and what goes with Christmas ...that's right Candy Canes:) Think the coolness of the peppermint on your tongue...YUM!!! Now just to let you know before you attempt this mani keep in mind that if you mix the colors up too much in the water they will make pink.... not what you want. And yes I had that problem with a couple of my nails (fail). I used Zoya Snow White and OPI Color So Hot It Berns. Here is a picture of my mani:)

As you can see my first finger the colors got to mixed up and it kinda looks pink. But with a little practice I was able to do the rest and make them look like candy:)

This is a shot of my pinkie .... it is my favorite one:) Sorry about the clean up... I was a little rushed for time.
Here is a picture of the polish I used.

Hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions on water marbling or anything you see here on Southern Sister Polish just leave a comment:)
Happy Polishing Everyone:)

Winter Wonderland Day 2............Ice Princess

While I was looking around the the web for inspiration for this week, I just happen to look down and noticed the ice in my glass... Ice Princess was created! It's cold outside(well almost) and I needed a mani to reflect that. This mani does have 7 different colors so it is a little time consuming, but well worth it♥. So I started off with CQ Gem Green, 2nd was Funky Fingers Sound Chec, 3rd Funky Fingers Baby Baby Baby, 4th Kleancolor Puppy Love, 5th OPI Yoga-Ta-Get this Blue, 6th the mini OPI, and to top it off I used NK Magical.....that wore me out just typing, lol:) So all I did was build on top of each polish and made sure I put it where I wanted it. Here is a picture of my mani.

I hope you can feel the chill in the air from this mani:)
And here is a picture of all the polishes I used.

Let me know what you think of the Ice Princess??? Is there something winter related that you want to see a mani done from... leave me a comment and I will try my best to make it happen:)

Happy Polishing everyone:)

Hits Afrodite Swatching.........Picture Heavy

Hey everybody I'm back with another great swatch for you. Today I'm swatching Afrodite from the Hits Polish collection, these were provided to me for swatching by Leah Ann from Llarowe. I think I have found my true love in polish. ♥ Hits Polishes:) They are truly amazing, the way they shine in the light  and the way they sparkle .... ♥ . Afrodite is a pink holo polish that depending on the number of coats the darker pink it will become. Here are the pictures:)

And y'all know by now that I'm working on my nail art... I did this awesome fade for y'all with a little nail art thrown on there.... with that said here is some super cute nail art for Afrodite.

So at the end of this post I wanted to close with a little prayer for Leah Ann... who has just recently lost her mother. Leah Ann you have our deepest condolences.

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

Amen.

Love,
~Anne~

Day 1 Winter Wonderland......Happy Feet

Happy Feet...... alright everybody flash dance:) Okay now that the dancing is out of my system we can move on to a super cute mani:) I have just started using Pintrest ( love) and have been finding really cute ideas for mani's on there like this new penguin mani. I used Zoya Caitlin for the color on the body along with a  white for the chest. I had to use my trusty doters for eyes, beak, feet. And for the bow ties I used my Hello Kitty stickers. Here is a picture of my mani:)

Super Cute!!!!! I love the look, penguins are the cutest!!!! Here is some more pictures of the mani:)

Just so stinking cute:) Now I have to say this mani did take me longer because of all the dry time, but other than that pretty easy to do. Oh yeah I did mix my oranges to make that pretty orange you see. I  think this would look cute as a pedi, Big toes penguins and small toes just the solid polish.
Here is a picture of the polish I used.

Let me know what you think of this mani and if you have ever tried anything like this!
Happy Polishing Everyone:)

The Dr. is in the House with the Jolly and Joy Collection

Dr.'s Remedy that is! This will be a picture heavy post because I wanted to show you so much! Just a quick note before I start this review Dr.'s Remedy  has a sale going on till  Monday you should check it out! "Dr.'s Remedy is a line of doctor-inspired cosmetics that is dedicated to using clean, hypo-allergenic ingredients. The birth-child of two New York-based podiatrists, Dr. Adam Cirlincione and Dr. William Spielfogel."

So Let's get this party started! This beauty is Serene Silver Glitter. The pictures show two coats of S.S.G.  with a top coat. I found that S.S.G. like most glitters might need two coats of top coat or one thick coat. Serene Silver Glitter is a silver glitter with blue and magenta mixed in. It's very festive!

This is Essential Emerald. I started out with E.E. it was watery (first coat) but by the third thin coat which is my usual it was perfect for me! Essential Emerald actually reminds me of Jade. E.E. has a silver shimmer that just makes it shine!

This is Resolution Red Glitter  which is a beautiful pink and silver foil glitter with a sprinkling of red mixed in. This beautiful glitter is two coats and one top coat. Just like Serene Silver I think Resolution Red Glitter could have used two coats of top coat or one thick coat.

Now we get down to a favorite of mine...Passion Purple in all her glory of 3 thin coats! Oh P.P. is such a beauty which has purple and pink shimmer throughout. Passion Purple is such a beautiful color I really can't wait to wear it again!

This IS Revive Ruby Red  which is such a beautiful holiday red....no scratch that it's such a I would wear this till I ran out of it red! This is 3 thin coats of Revive Ruby Red (...now I had a wonky brush with this one (it is super thin) so it took me a while to properly apply it. I was not put off by the brush which I see as something that can be easily fixed with a quick call to customer service.) Yes just 3 thin coats and a top coat and viola I had holiday from a bottle on my nails! R.R.R. glows from inside! Let's take a look at the pictures...

A picture of my wonky brush it didn't fan out it was more like a nail art brush to me.

I really enjoyed wearing these polishes and got many compliments on on every color! They all are really beautiful colors.

Dr.'s Remedy has a facebook page and a twitter page  please go check them out!
You can purchase Dr.'s Remedy polishes here.

Which Dr.'s Remedy color from the Jolly and Joy collection is your favorite?
